A photographic journey through Tibet and Asia
Philip Hepp's photography offers diverse insights into Tibet, India, Nepal and other Asian countries, focusing on the lives and cultures of their people, but never claiming to be complete.
Many photographs date from the late 1980s and 1990s, when Tibet was just beginning to open up to foreigners, and many other Asian countries were also undergoing major political, economic and social changes. Further images are from more recent times.
This photographic work goes beyond simply depicting scenic beauty. It can serve as a visual archive that explores and documents unique cultures, traditions and ways of life that are threatened with extinction.
Philip Hepp's photographic journey takes you deep into Tibet, India, Nepal, and beyond.
